Despite all the effort involved in keeping track of 10-month-old baby Elizabeth while also attempting to housetrain 11-week-old puppy Finley, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday afternoon, I caught a glimpse of it as Elizabeth and Finley played together for fifteen whole minutes with no adult human intervention required the entire time! Of course I realize that as Elizabeth gets older, she will become more devious in discovering ways to get the both of them in trouble. Among other things, I’m looking forward to the entertainment.
You can also see Finley getting more confident in his new home by the day. Until yesterday, he’d been giving the cats a wide, wary berth. Now he’s following them around wondering why they’re leery of playing with him.
