They don&#8217;t seem to be nearly as supply-constrained as the XBox 360 when it was released last year. When I saw how much those sold for on Ebay, I stopped by my local Target at least once a week to see if I could grab one just so I could sell it. <\/p>\n<p>Though I&#8217;ve been playing computer games off and on since about 1984 or so, I&#8217;ve never owned a game console. With a little encouragement from my brother-in-law, I realized there&#8217;s not much reason for me to pay $250 for a console, let alone go out of my way trying to find one, when I&#8217;ve never really played any of the games that are out for ANY of the last-generation consoles. He told me about a couple of fun games for the Gamecube, and the idea spent a couple weeks rolling around in my head. <\/p>\n<p>Last week I told Scott, who really wants to pick up a Wii, I think due in no small part to the fancy wireless controller, and he thought it was a good idea, too, so on the way back to our neighborhood from work, we dropped by EB Games and picked up a couple of reconditioned Gamecubes and a large handful of games.
